Coaches Notes

 Welcome back!!!

I hope everyone is revitalized and ready to go!! Breaks are great but there is one major problem...our bodies are not ready to go. Even a short break will have an effect on our conditioning and stamina. These first 3 weeks of practice will be spent re-establishing our stamina. We have spent a lot of time on "smart" swimming: streamline, 5th stroke, distance per stroke, posture line, reducing drag, etc. Since it is always a coach's perogative to change his mind, I will excercise that right and go back to "hard" swimming. We will do some "smart" swimming, but spenD much of our time on conditioning. Also, during this time, stretching and warming up become even more crucial to lessen the chance of cramps and injury.Following this perscription will allow us to...

LEAVE NOTHING IN THE WATER,TAKE IT ALL TO THE WALL!!
